What is the Attend® App?

Attend® is designed as a one-stop shop for all your club, course and member admin needs. It’s a paperless admin system, helping you to engage more closely with your customers and to ditch all your paper records for personal details and attendance registers, and instead keep everything secure in the cloud and on your mobile phone.

Who should use Attend®?

The App is ideal for anyone who runs a course and who wants their course participants to be able to sign up and pay for their courses online without having to invest in an expensive, bespoke booking system. By providing for emergency contact details the system lends itself to sporting applications and it also is able to keep attendance and payment records.

How easy is it to use?

It’s very easy to use. In less than 15 minutes you can register your details, create your first course and share a link to your course on social media or your website. Once you’ve done that, your participants can fill in their personal details for your records, sign up and even pay* for your course online, in less than the time it takes to make and drink a cup of tea. Simple! And, there is a free trial period before you need to enter your payment card details.
 
*To accept payments, you will need to create a Connect+ account with Stripe. Once that’s done all your courses will require payment to be taken when your participants sign up and Stripe will transfer the money into your bank account (subject to a small processing fee).

How much time will it save me?

No more giving out forms for attendees to fill in, no more collating emergency contact numbers or creating registers. Attend® will save you time before during and after your courses – even enabling you to download finance and attendance reports for individual or categories of courses.
Attend® stores all your information and displays your session register on your phone. Contact a parent or next-of-kin right from the app, saving valuable minutes in case of an emergency.

What if I don’t have a mobile phone signal where my sessions are?

If you know you won’t have wi-fi or mobile data signal when you’re running your session, you can download the data to the mobile App before you go. Any changes you make to the attendance records when out of signal will be stored in the app, and the system will sync as soon as it can when it comes back into a signal area.

How much do I have to set up on my computer first?

Admin tasks need to be done on your computer or laptop– registering your club, setting up courses and generating your share links to paste onto your website or social media page. Taking attendance, sending text messages to the class and viewing important member information can all be done through Attend® on your phone. You can even text a personal course invitation to someone through the Attend® mobile app.

How much does Attend cost after the free trial finishes?

Costs are calculated based on the number of attendees you have on live courses running in each calendar month.

If you have 120 clients you pay £10 per month, 121-200 clients will be £15 per month, and 201 + clients will be £30 per month.

If you increase your clients on courses running in a particular month, then your costs for that month will go up, but if your client numbers go down the next month then your costs will also go down.

There’s no lengthy contract either – just cancel any time.

How easy is it for people to sign up?

When your attendees click on the share link on your website they are taken effortlessly though the sign-up process, on screens designed for mobile phone, so they can do it on the go. Once they’re registered, they are sent an email confirming the course details, and you get a message telling you there are new people coming along to your course.

What payment method does Attend® use?

Attend® uses Stripe to take members’ payments and set up account holder subscriptions. You create an account with Stripe for your business and then your participants will be required to pay for courses when they sign-up online. In your Stripe dashboard you will be able to view your income and give out any refunds if necessary. Attend® won’t store any of your or your members’ financial details.

Are the payments secure?

Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1 (https://stripe.com/docs/security/stripe). Attend® never stores any financial details, and Stripe encrypts and stores all data securely.

Getting Started

How can I start the free trial?

Just sign up at https://system.attendapp.com/ and register your club. Then verify your email address to access your club dashboard.  All new account holders have a totally FREE PRE-trial period which gives you time to set up your courses and get to know the features of Attend®. You can spend as long as you like in this pre-trial state, and your free trial will only start when you mark your first attendance in the App. That way there’s no hurry for you to get your courses created and your members signed-up within a certain time, nor do you need to delay registering until near the beginning of term.

How long is the free trial?

If you’re joining us for the Beta trial, then your free trial will run for a whole 12 months!  After that, regular users will get 1 month’s trial for free.

What’s included in the free trial?

All the features of Attend® will be available during the trial period.

How do I set up my first session?

All sessions are generated when a course is made. You can add extra sessions to a course if necessary, and be confident that any changes you make will be transferred to the mobile app when syncing occurs. See our YouTube channel or look at our handy User Guide.

Can Attend® help me promote my business?

When you make a course you can share the link to the course on your Facebook page, website or other social media. Your potential attendees can click the link to sign up to your courses quickly and easily.

How do I take payments using Attend®?

Sign up for your Stripe Connect+ account. Once that’s done, Attend® will use Stripe to collect payments from members on all your courses.

Can I use Attend® to stay in touch with my club or group?

The Attend® mobile app allows you to send text messages to all your course members simultaneously. Whether you need to cancel a session, or remind members what to bring to the first session, Attend® has it covered.

I’ve heard Attend® can store medical alerts and safeguarding information. How secure is it?

All data is encrypted for transfer from the web to the mobile app, and all versions of Attend® are password protected to keep the information safe.

It’s not just me that looks after the club or group? Can others use it too?

If you’re the account holder, then you control the payment details and subscription to Attend®, but you can add other staff members to your club. A new staff member will have their own account with Attend®, and you can assign them a coach or an assistant administrator role. Both roles will allow staff members to be assigned to courses as a coach, but the assistant admin role will allow someone to help with the day-to-day running of the club: creating courses etc. A coach will just be able to view the details of the members on their courses and take attendance.

If I can take payments using Attend®, how will I know how much money I’ve taken?

When you sign up to Stripe Connect+ you’ll have access to a full Stripe dashboard which will show the income you’ve received and any processing charges incurred.

Do you need my credit card details to access the free trial?

No, we only ask you to sign up for your subscription once you’re happy to continue using Attend®.

How do I update my account details?

There’s a link in the top right hand-side of the dashboard called My account. You can view and update your personal details from there without any problem.

Where can I find the mobile App?

The Attend® mobile app can be found by searching for Attend Membership App in the App store on iPhone. It can be downloaded for free, and you log in with the same details as you use for Attend® on your computer.

What type of phone do I need to use the mobile App?

The mobile App is designed for Apple iOS devices, running iOS 9.0 or later, and also Android devices running 4.4 and up. The app can be downloaded from the App and Google Play Stores on your phone or tablet. Simply search for Attend Membership App.
Note: The mobile app is designed to be used in conjunction with the Attend web app. Just set up your courses in the web admin system and your session registers will be synced to your mobile app.

What if I forget my login details?

If you forget your password there’s a handy ‘Forgotten password’ link on the log in screens for the web and mobile versions of Attend®. Click the link, enter your email address and you’ll be sent an email with all the instructions to create a new password.

Why is the App better than the system I’m using already?

Does your current system allow members to sign up and pay on line? Can you take attendance on your phone? Can you view medical requirements in your register so you’re aware of participants’ needs all the time? Can you see attendees’ photos to you can remember names and faces in the early stages of your course? Can you contact your whole class in one go and sent them a text? Can you access your members’ emergency contact instantly if you needed to? Can you download attendance and income reports to excel? Can you text a potential member a special invitation from your phone, encouraging them to sign up with a special price, and have them register and pay for your course with moments of them giving you their mobile number?

Do my attendees need to sign up to Attend®?

When you share your course link your participants will be taken to a screen to sign up to your course. They’ll be guided through the registration process on screens designed for mobile browsers so they can sign-up on the go. Attend® will store their details in your club account, so you can access them, and they’ll have their own account so they can check or update the details they’re entered, but they don’t need to download the mobile App to sign up to your classes.
